DreamX3

Haven't been able to go online for 3 days. Something wrong with the router or something. Boo Hoo. Sighz. Well, at least the semester is over! Now I have 2 more finals left next week and I'll be done... and my mom's coming next Monday! Yay! ;) At least this Christmas might not be as miserable as my hormones might lead me to think... Bleh. *bEam* I dreamt I was back in Ipoh last night. Was in Jusco, mom was at the supermarket or something. I was at the concourse area in front of Giordano, and there was a sale display thingy there (there's always a sale thingy there). I was weaving my way around it, and I was on the phone... with Keong. 0=) I stopped somewhere near the edge of the thingy - in front of Swatch. They were selling Michigan State University merchandises! I stared at it, slightly stunned. Here, in Ipoh? But I recovered, and was gabbing about it to Keong, and felt like yelling at everyone who would listen that I go there. =p And then I was describing to him where I was; I was gazing around, telling him it's near the Coffee Bean entrance, blah... but it wasn't there anymore! I blinked a couple of times (literally), and it was true - the whole row of shops have changed; I wasn't even sure if I was in Jusco anymore. Instead of Giordano and Swatch, there were these unfamiliar stores... I didn't recognize anything. Even in my dream I felt my heart sank. And as Keong explained that yeah, some stuff have changed since the last time I came back, it's been a while... It was sad. It's what I wish would never happen in real life. That Ipoh would change so much that the Ipoh I left would ...cease to exist anymore. Then what do I do? I'll be a wanderer, a nomad with no real sense of belonging, nothing but distant memories of what I loved and cherished... Heh too much African Diaspora theories. =p It's not really the place I suppose; it's the people. And I'm counting on the fact that Ipoh has a really slow rate of metabolism when it comes to change; any kind of change. :P
