Pieces of A Past

A very close friend of mine had all his stuff wiped out from his laptop coz of some bad virus lately. All his music, photos, information, etc... I can only imagine how heart-breaking it can be. I mean, if I were to lose all the stuff in my PC, all the illegal music files and movies and anime series I've dled, I'd be crushed and insomniac too.

So in a small attempt to lessen his pain... I looked thru my stuff... and found these video clips. =D

It's a clip from his almost-successful-surprise birthday party from last year. Hehee. This was when everyone made him guess what each present was, and if guessed wrongly, the giver'd have the chance to draw on his face... with Jan's make up. Teehee.

Actual execution of face-painting punishment.

Finished product. XD

K la by now most of you know who I'm talking about. =) So if you have any pics or anything that relates to him, GIVE HIM.

Or I'll post embarrassing video clips of you guys... I've been secretly collecting ok... XD

Jokez~

Off to the Zoo

Alrighty. Time for more updates hehee.

I wanna put more video clips up, but there's gonna be too many youtube clips on this page and it'd take a long time to load and then you guys will be irritated and I won't have a reason to blog anymore SO.

I put up links instead. Heh.

Went to Potter Park Zoo on Easter Sunday. After church lar. =P Dave came down from Toronto so sis thought she'd bring him there. Me, I'm juz being the annoying li'l sis that I am. XD Boy, the last time I went to a zoo was like,...

Last December, in S'pore. HehEe. Although technically that was a night safari...~

We'll start with the hares~. Easter bunny, geddit? Never knew hares (isit a plural hare, hares? Or something else... hMm looks weird tho) were quite as big...

A type of antelope called bongo. At first I thought it was kinda funny, the name, but then I saw him all alone in that cage, and I read that he's from Africa... You and me, Bongo, we understand each other. ;) Bongo and I had a staring contest too, for like, five minutes! I love visiting zoos during their low seasons - you get the animals' attentions all to yourself. XD

Beautiful white pea...fowl. They don't call it peacock. *shRug* Click on it, click on it! FaRnee video clip... hehee The Peafowl Shudder, I call it. LOl~~ It was very cold la, and you can't see it clearly in the clip, but it was shivering so hard those hard pointy feathers were making this table-fan sound. Heh. YY say I so mean lor, make fun of animals... but hey, I laugh at myself when my teeth chatter too, so. =P

One of me favs... an Eurasian owl. Have you guys ever heard the sounds owls make? They really go, WHO! HehEe, somehow it really amused me... click on the pic if you wanna see (or hear, really) Dave provoking the owl to WHO.

Gila Monster.

Really called Gila Monster la, the orange lizard. Bluff you for what?

Someone must've knocked on the glass anyway, coz...

......

I was (nicely) surprised by the way they let most birds like these and the peafowls walk around freely.

Hunky Donkey. Hehee.

Ugly-looking vultures.

My favorite was definitely the llamas, but for some reason I didn't get a good pic of 'em... I have a video clip of them too, hehee, but I think you guys have quite enough for now. XD

That's Not Very Nice...

My professor is a nutcase.

Seriously.

Remember Dr Magazine? Crashed right into the classroom in an old bike and white labcoat and a wig?

It gets crazier.

See, throughout this semester he's been getting emails from this person who claims to be one of the students in our class, who calls himself/herself 'Babyface'. He'd read the emails in class, rant and make us guess who it can be, we get into a frenzy trying to accuse each other, yadda3.

When we found out this Dr Magazine character he kept talking about was actually he himself in a labcoat, we kept asking him if Babyface was him, too.

He was outraged. He slammed the table and was all indignant, coz Babyface always criticizes his teaching, and who in their right minds would email themselves, yadda3.

So ok lor.

Last Tuesday, the last letter of the semester came from Babyface. He/She said if we can guess who it is, he/she'd reveal himself/herself. Personally, I was eager to find out who it really was, coz in one of the emails, he/she actually singled me out and said I was his/her personal favorite writer in the group. XD

But anyways.

We voted, two out of three of the candidates denied it was them, leaving only one...

THE PROFESSOR.

He confessed.

One of my classmates stood up and stomped off the room with his backpack.

Another kept shaking his head, probably in shock, muttering to himself over and over again, 'This is wrong man, this is so wrong.'

One of the girls almost burst into tears - she said it felt like how it was when she found out Santa Claus was not real.

Do you think he needs professional help?

Another Concert... hehee

Went for this concert last night in Kalamazoo (about one and half hours away, according to mapquest; which is one hour in M'sian driving time =P).

It's a combined concert; Stellar Kart, Disciple, Falling Up and Kutless. I really just wanted to see Kutless and Falling Up. Kutless was the main act, naturally, but Falling Up was just. too. awesome.

Sugo-sugi! \(^0^)/

Stellar Kart. They were not bad, actually. Punkish... Didn't take pics of Disciple coz me no like. =P The lead singer creeped me out.

Falling Up~!! They're uber awesome performers - so energetic, and then hor! The lead singer stepped on the guitarist's hand (readied for him la of coz) and he flipped over! No hands, landed perfectly~ Then later on, the guitarist himself climbed on top of the piano and flipped over to the stage! Landed on his feet like it's the simplest thing in the world. @_@

Falling Up. I have more of their clips here and here.

See, I go concert also I think of you guys... hEe. Jokez.

Kutless. They're great, of coz. Especially the drummer - can't see him here, but I have a clip of him doing a solo. He's really good at riling the crowd up. AND he has his drumset set up way up high in this block thing, so he's a few feet higher than the rest of the band. Lol. I thought that was amusing.

Kutless performing Strong Tower. The Kutless peeps actually warned us to put away any recording devices, only photo-taking allowed but... 0=) Gotta share the lurve, no?

Crazy drummer doing his thing.

Che, thanks so much for driving~! And enduring three hours of ear-blasting noise with me, hehEe. *big hUGzz* You da best!~ Oh, and for the Kutless T-shirt. Niahehehee KIDDING. Will pay you back. Soon. =P

United Live @ Toronto

Stood outside in the cold for over an hour to get inside, but it was tOtally worth it. =D Going up to the balcony was the only way I could take any decent pics, but after a while I realized it was quite impossible to take any still pics, so I recorded some clips instead. Hee. Not the best video clips, but...

I uploaded some videos from the concert on my Multiply site.

There's a limit to how many I can upload there, so I uploaded the longer ones on YouTube. The encore song, actually. =)

Although the quality in Multiply is much better...

Exotic Li'l Me...

Professor: I'm looking forward to one of your wonderful island stories.
Me: But Sir... Malaysia's not an island...

Never mind the fact that only one of my pieces touches a little on my 'exotic, balmy' origins.

(>_<)
